5 Simple Luxurious Shacket Outfit Ideas You’ll Love Wearing

How To Wear a "Shirt Jacket"

A shacket is a style in between a shirt and a jacket. Even though it looks similar to a shirt, it’s typically a bit oversized and thicker than your average shirt, but not quite as heavy as a jacket. In this post, I’ve got the best shacket outfit ideas for you that are versatile enough to wear to a holiday dinner night or for a casual shopping day.

It can be long or cropped, dressed up or down, and can be made in anything from fleece to flannel. Creamy beige and plaid are some of the most popular styles for shackets, which go perfectly with the fall and winter aesthetic.

Although it’s a great cozy essential, it doesn’t have to only be worn casually. You can dress it up with some flats and cute jewelry, or keep it simple with some jeans and a shirt.

The pieces I’ve put together are made with vegan-friendly, cruelty-free materials and/or organic fabrics.

Here’s a round-up of the best shacket outfit ideas for a cozy, minimal put-together look.

1. Blue Plaid Shacket

The first outfit is a mix of lighter and darker blue tones. I’ve added two top options. You can go lightweight with the long sleeve top, or add the henley for more warmth.

This blue plaid shacket is a classic plaid pattern with a well-made structure. Perfect for a sports game or night out. I paired it with an extremely comfortable pair of slip-on shoes that don’t feel heavy but will still keep your feet toasty in the faux fur lining, as well as dark-wash skinny jeans

And, the vegan leather purse upgrades the outfit just enough to add a little something extra. It has a magnetic closure so it’s easy to open and close on the go.

2. Quilted Sage Shacket

Neutrals and creams are for you if you like a minimal clean look. The quilted sage shacket is lightweight and perfect to transition into the fall months.

I paired it with a Free People cream sweater to add an extra layer for the colder months, creamy beige straight-leg jeans, a quilted tote bag, and vegan waterproof thermal insulated slipper shoes that can be worn in temperatures as low as -5°C (23°F)!

3. Brown Plaid Cropped Shacket

A cropped plaid brown shacket makes this outfit feel a little more sporty. The mock neck top is sleek with a slim fit and the right length for the shorter shacket. You won’t get chilled around your neck but it’s not enough to feel smothered either.

The clutch purse actually transforms into a changing station with an easy-to-clean changing pad. If you’re a mom, you’ll love that! I think it would also work well to do your makeup on.

The bottoms are vintage high-rise jeans that are made with organic cotton and ecovero sustainable viscose (from sustainable wood) and a bit of stretch. Lastly, 100% vegan sneakers complement the jeans and darker tones in the shacket.

Make it even more sporty with this cute baseball hat and sunglasses

4. Burnt Orange Fleece Shacket

This next outfit has kind of a 70s retro vibe! If you love super soft, cozy oversized, and comfortable, you’ll love a fleece shacket. I matched it with a cream henley and wide-leg high-waist cream jeans. Since the neck is more open, I added a snuggly long scarf that has a touch of blue in it.

The handbag is made from a textile that’s made partly from corn, organic cotton, and is PETA-approved. It has plenty of room for your sunglasses, keys, small notebook, and other essentials.

Creamy beige boots are perfect for snow days. They lace up and have faux teddy bear-like fur to keep all the heat in on your feet.

This is the perfect outfit to transition straight into winter with all the extra warm layers.

5. Green Plaid Shacket

A green plaid shacket with a touch of yellow gold goes so well with autumnal colors and gets you in the Christmas mood!

Wear it with a cream terry fabric top and straight-leg brown jeans. Accessorized with a fuzzy vegan mini tote bag that you can wear on your wrist or shoulder.

There are two options for shoes (or get both to change up your look). A comfortable vegan leather bootie that’s almost like an upgraded cowboy boot, or a padded slip-on shoe for more laid-back days.
