Did you know that a turmeric face scrub can not only treat pimples and breakouts but also reduce acne scars and inflammation? Taking care of yourself should be on the top of your list, and maintaining a good skincare routine is part of that. Today, you can find a lot of face scrubs available everywhere. Obviously, not everyone is able to buy the luxury skin care products that are on the market. And, making your own face scrubs at home is a good idea to save money in the long run and use natural organic ingredients without preservatives and other additives.
Keeping your skin clean, glowing, and bacteria-free is essential to any skincare regime.
Read on to learn how to make your own DIY Warm Cinnamon and Turmeric Face Scrub for Clean Glowing Skin.
Benefits of this Turmeric Face Scrub
Turmeric, cinnamon essential oil, and olive oil are the main ingredients in this glowing face scrub.
Regular sugar can be a bit abrasive on the face, especially on sensitive skin. However, brown sugar is much softer and gentler.
The natural Castile liquid soap ensures that the scrub is properly washed away after use, while olive oil is incorporated to provide moisturizing effects. Without the liquid soap, some staining from the turmeric powder can be visible.
Cinnamon Oil for Face
Even though cinnamon oil is often overlooked in skin care use, it has a lot of amazing benefits for your face.
Cinnamon oil is a natural pure essential oil that is extracted from the bark of the cinnamon tree.
It has been used for centuries for its therapeutic and medicinal properties. And, it’s also actually widely used in cosmetics and skincare. Its many benefits include being an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and more.
When you incorporate cinnamon oil into skincare, you can slow the signs of aging by providing moisturization, and reducing wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, along with hyperpigmentation. Besides its ability to heal sunburns or rashes on your skin, it can also help with acne breakouts and other common skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis.
Why a Turmeric Face Scrub for Skin Care?
You may have used Turmeric in food recipes, but it’s also a spice that’s a beauty go-to.
Turmeric lessens the development of extra melanin and lightens plus brightens your skin tone. Your blood flow will be increased so your blemishes can heal.
It has anti-inflammatory properties which can reduce redness and irritation on the skin.
The antioxidants it contains also help to protect against harmful free radicals that can cause premature aging or acne breakouts.
