With school out and summer coming, the travel season is here. Packing, even for a short trip, can be overwhelming. There’s SO much to think about and prepare for when you travel. Even for a weekend trip, I used to feel like I had to take everything with me to make sure I was prepared for anything. Lugging too many suitcases and bags, or carry-ons around will wear you down quickly and can be expensive.
After I realized that you only need a few basic key pieces to feel comfortable and look good, traveling was much easier.
With fewer pieces, you can free up your mind and have fewer things to worry about and keep up with and just enjoy your time away.
You can mix and match these clothes to suit what you will be doing that day. Whether you go out somewhere nice to eat or hang out by the pool.
That way, you utilize all of the pieces and you can have a different outfit each day!
These basic pieces work for a weekend trip, 1 week, or 2 week trip with a pop of purple and neutral colors that all complement each other. They are also vegan-friendly.
I’ve included some cozy staples for the plane or the car. Especially when you are traveling with other people, you can feel comfortable if the temperature on the car/bus/plane gets adjusted too high.
Depending on where you go, it may be chilly at night. I think the jean jacket is enough for cooler nights, or the cardigan if you want to be more casual.
